Entering the state of Ihram (consecration) from the Miqat. Pilgrims go to Mina where they spend the day and night in prayers and supplications. Intense spiritual preparation before the day of Arafat. Setting up in tents, collective prayers.

Day of Arafat - The Pillar of Hajj

يوم عرفة

The most important day of Hajj. Departure from Mina after Fajr prayer to go to Mount Arafat. Standing (Wuquf) on the plain of Arafat from noon until sunset. Prayer, supplications (dua), asking for forgiveness. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Hajj is Arafat". After sunset, departure to Muzdalifah.

Day of Eid - Stoning and Sacrifice

Night at Muzdalifah under the stars, collecting pebbles. After Fajr prayer, return to Mina. Stoning of the large pillar (Jamrat Al-Aqaba) with 7 pebbles. Sacrifice of a sheep (Udhiya). Shaving or cutting hair (Tahallul). Tawaf Al-Ifada (obligatory circumambulation) in Mecca. Sai between Safa and Marwa.

Days of Tashriq - Stoning of 3 Pillars

أيام التشريق

Pilgrims remain in Mina for the days of Tashriq. Each day after noon: stoning of the 3 pillars (small, medium, large) with 7 pebbles each = 21 pebbles/day. Option to leave on the 12th or 13th depending on choice. Prayers, supplications, brotherhood. Before leaving Mina: Tawaf Al-Wada (farewell circumambulation) in Mecca.

Mandatory documents for Nusuk registration: Passport valid at least 6 months after return date (check expiration date!). Valid residence permit until return date (if non-European passport). 2 recent compliant ID photos (white background, hijab mandatory for women). Vaccination certificates according to current health requirements (usually meningitis, yellow fever). Proof of residence for EU passport holders. For women: If you are under 45 years old and traveling without Mahram (legal guardian: husband, father, brother, adult son), additional documents may be required according to Saudi regulations.
