Umrah is the minor pilgrimage, recommended but not obligatory, which can be performed at any time of year. Hajj is the major pilgrimage, fifth pillar of Islam, mandatory once in a lifetime for every Muslim who has the physical and financial means. Hajj takes place only during the month of Dhul Hijja (specific dates). Umrah lasts a few hours while Hajj extends over several days with additional rituals (Arafat, Mina, stoning). Both take place in Mecca.

The price of Umrah varies according to several criteria: period (Ramadan is more expensive), trip duration, hotel category and distance from Haram. At NexSafar, our all-inclusive Umrah 2025 packages start at €1,390 for an economy package (10 days, 4★ hotel), €1,890 for comfort package (11 days, 5★ hotel facing Haram) and €2,790 for premium package (14 days, luxury). To perform Umrah, you must provide: a valid passport at least 6 months after return date, copy of passport, 2 recent ID photos, vaccination certificate (according to current health requirements). For women under 45 traveling without Mahram (guardian), additional documents may be required. Umrah visa is included in all our packages and we handle all administrative procedures. Processing time: 7 to 15 days before departure.

Umrah can be performed year-round. Most popular periods are: Ramadan month (very meritorious but more expensive and very crowded), French school holidays (convenient for families), and November-February months (milder weather with temperatures 20-25°C). June-August months are very hot (40-45°C) but less crowded and therefore cheaper. To avoid crowds while enjoying good temperatures, favor October-November or February-March. Yes, children are welcome for Umrah! Many families take their children to share this spiritual experience. We offer reduced rates: children under 12 with bed (€200 discount on adult rate), children under 12 without bed (from €890), babies under 2 (package of €350). Our accommodations are family-friendly with spacious rooms. Our guides are used to accompanying families and can adapt the pace. Remember to provide comfortable clothing and a foldable stroller for younger ones.

Our all-inclusive Umrah packages include: round-trip direct flight Paris-Jeddah with Saudia Airlines (50kg baggage), accommodation in 4 or 5 star hotel near Haram (300-600m), Umrah visa (procedures handled), airport-hotel-airport transfers by air-conditioned bus, French-speaking graduate religious guide, Umrah training with explanatory booklet, ziyarat (guided tours) in Medina and Mecca: Mount Uhud, Quba Mosque, Palm Grove, breakfast or half-board depending on package, 24/7 on-site assistance.
